The compact member of Roland’s JUPITER-X range, the JUPITER-Xm combines a 37-key slim-profile keyboard with a five-part performance architecture, built-in stereo speakers and battery-capable operation. Its ZEN-Core and Behaviour Modelling Core (BMC) sound engines recreate a range of Roland instruments, including JUPITER-8, JUNO-106, JX-8P, SH-101, XV-series synths and RD stage pianos, alongside TR-style rhythm sounds.

Four synthesiser parts and one dedicated rhythm part can be layered simultaneously, allowing complex multitimbral scenes with up to 256 voices of polyphony, depending on the selected synthesis engine and patch complexity. The expandable platform can receive new content as it becomes available, and can share sounds and other content with the full-sized JUPITER-X.

The I-ARPEGGIO system responds to playing in real time, generating reactive arpeggios, backing parts, basslines and rhythms across all five parts. A metal chassis, velocity-sensitive compact keys, Bluetooth audio and MIDI support, USB audio/MIDI, and an extensive selection of analogue-style and digital connectivity make it suited to portable production and performance setups.
