Behringer’s JN-80 is an eight-voice, fully analogue polyphonic synthesiser inspired by the 1980s Juno-60. Its analogue signal path is built around authentic DCO, 3109 VCF and 662 VCA designs, recreating the classic combination of stable oscillators, a resonant 24 dB low-pass filter and rich BBD chorus.

Eight discrete oscillator voices provide saw, square and pulse-width waveforms, with Poly, Unison and Double modes available for everything from eight-voice pads and single-VCO sounds to four-voice double-VCO textures, powerful leads and basses. The 3109-based low-pass filter includes resonance and positive or negative envelope control, while the classic chorus adds the wide, animated character associated with the original design.

A dedicated, knob-per-function control layout provides direct access to the LFO, DCO, HPF, VCF, VCA, envelopes and chorus. The integrated arpeggiator includes an adjustable-rate slider and Up, Down and Up/Down playback modes, with support for an external tap-tempo pedal.

The JN-80 stores up to 400 presets and includes a compare-and-match function to help align the physical analogue controls with recalled patch settings. It features 200 presets, including 100 Ultimate Patches sounds in banks A–E; these patches are marked with a ¥ symbol at the end of their names.
