Made in Japan in 1978, the Takamine F-400S is a Martin-style 12-string acoustic with a dreadnought body and traditional all-solid-wood construction. Its solid spruce top is paired with solid rosewood back and sides, offering a classic 12-string acoustic configuration.
The natural-finished body is matched with a mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard. Its approximately 47.6 mm (1 7/8") nut width is wider than that of a standard six-string acoustic, providing additional room for its paired-string layout.
