MiniFreak 49 expands the hybrid synthesis architecture of the MiniFreak with a full-size 49-note semi-weighted keyboard, enhanced hands-on control and an XYZ touch matrix for expressive performance and sound design.

Its 6-voice polyphonic engine combines two digital sound engines with analogue state-variable filters. More than 30 oscillator modes are available, spanning virtual analogue, FM, wavetable, granular, sample-based and physical modelling synthesis. Engine 2 can also process Engine 1, enabling complex tones, evolving textures and unconventional sonic results.

The XYZ touch matrix provides visual feedback, direct modulation assignment, preset navigation and multi-dimensional performance control. Further shaping options include audio-rate Filter FM, voice panning, deep modulation capabilities and three stereo effects slots.

Built for studio production and live performance, MiniFreak 49 also includes a 64-step sequencer, advanced arpeggiator and integration with the included MiniFreak V software.
