DeoxIT® Fader F-Series is a precision lubricant and treatment for moving contact surfaces, including conductive-plastic faders, switches, potentiometers and other sliding mechanisms. It replenishes lubrication lost through wear or repeated cleaning, helping to reduce abrasion and maintain the original tactile feel of controls.

It is also suitable for conductive membrane switches and components. Oils, grease and acids transferred through repeated finger contact can build up on membrane surfaces and contribute to malfunction. DeoxIT® Fader forms a long-lasting protective layer that helps keep these contaminants away from the plastic membrane surface.

This F5S-H6 spray formulation uses an adjustable low/medium/high valve and a slower-evaporating carrier solvent for flushing away surface dirt, grease and other contaminants. It is best suited to connectors and components that have been removed from equipment or are readily accessible, where overspray is not a concern.

  • Plastic compatibility: Formulation is safe on plastics; test for compatibility before use, particularly on critical or sensitive parts and vintage equipment with ageing ABS plastics.
  • Rubber compatibility: May cause temporary swelling until the solvent has evaporated.

For a quick-dry, non-drip spray, use DeoxIT® Fader FN5S-2N. For greater tactile feel, apply DeoxIT® Fader Grease after cleaning with DeoxIT® Fader F-Series.

Where fader components may include metal as well as plastic, DeoxIT® D-Series D100S-2, containing 100% DeoxIT®, is recommended.
