An analogue microtonal polyphonic ambient machine, the SOLAR 42 succeeds ELTA Music's SOLAR 50 drone synthesiser. It combines 42 oscillators with a dual Polivoks-inspired filter section, designed for dense drones, evolving harmonic textures and microtonal explorations.
A dual effector section provides effects including delay and reverb, while the cartridge-based system supports custom DSP algorithms, including cartridges such as Nathan Fraser's Ochre.
Further performance and control features include a five-step sequencer, touch-sensitive controller, and joystick with dedicated CV outputs for both X and Y axes.
