Original 1970 (Second last year of the 'Batwing' SG Standard which ran from 1966-1971) & Angus Young spec with a very early walnut finish & one of the first large volutes. The same model, year and finish of Angus' first SG that produced the first four AC/DC records.

Featuring a very slim profiled, post-1965 neck (yet medium-D shaped from 5th fret onwards), with a bound rosewood fingerboard (original frets with 70-80% life left), trapezoid inlays, asymmetrical horns, Maestro long-Vibrola tailpiece with walrus tooth cap, witch hat knobs and original Patent Number (decal) pickups.

Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA.

All original (plastics, electronics, screws, the whole thing) and still sporting a very glossy finish. Wiring harness appears untouched and all pots date to the 18th week of 1970.

This SG did suffer a headstock crack (a very minor "Kalamzoo Smile") at the volute however doesn't appear to have gone the whole way through and has been repaired professionally as has some minor heel work down at neck joint. Both honest repairs and incredibly stable.

Otherwise an amazing, all original walnut SG that is as stunning to look at, as it is to play.

As played by the likes of Angus Young, Adalita, Paul Weller, Jamie Cook, Nancy Wilson, Robbie Krieger... etc.
