Behringer SC88 StageConnect Interface

A 1U StageConnect I/O unit providing eight microphone inputs and eight analogue line outputs over a single StageConnect cable. The SC88 combines stage audio, remote preamp control, Ultranet connectivity, power and MIDI communication within one streamlined system.

Eight balanced combo inputs are fitted with integrated TRIAD microphone preamps, each with individually switchable 48V phantom power. The preamps provide high common-mode rejection, stable performance across a wide range of source impedances and precise 0.5 dB analogue gain steps.

Eight balanced XLR line outputs use high-performance ESS DAC conversion for sending audio back to analogue equipment. Input gain and preamp settings can be adjusted remotely from compatible StageConnect consoles or via the desktop control panel over USB.

The SC88 also transmits and receives MIDI data between compatible Behringer StageConnect products, including the SC-U USB interface. This allows audio and MIDI control data to share the same StageConnect infrastructure—for example, recording a stage piano’s stereo output and MIDI data to a DAW, or using the DAW to switch patches on the piano via the same XLR cable.
