Verbos Electronics Haas Zone Processor

The Haas Zone Processor is a multi-tapped digital delay bank with analogue clocking, designed for psychoacoustic short-delay processing. Its 1–42 ms delay range and three tap outputs support flanging, chorus, automatic double tracking, resonance, waveshaping and audio-rate effects.

Alongside the delay section, the module includes a fully featured VCO, analogue bandpass filter and voltage-controlled mixer. These sections can be combined for complex time-domain processing or used to create a voice in their own right. In normalised configuration, adjusting the oscillator frequency, bandpass frequency and delay time allows several resonant frequencies to be brought into focus.

Inspired by vintage studio processors including the Marshall Time Modulator, the Haas Zone Processor also incorporates adapted versions of several of Martin Hannett’s personal patches.
