Flock Audio PATCH 32x32 Digitally Controlled Analogue Patchbay

The Flock Audio PATCH is a digitally controlled 32-input, 32-output analogue patchbay designed to provide software-controlled routing for analogue studio equipment. Its 64-point matrix allows connected preamps, compressors, equalisers, effects, interfaces and other hardware to be routed, multed and recalled without physically repatching cables.

The audio signal path remains entirely analogue, with no A/D or D/A conversion involved in routing. Connections can be created, stored and recalled using Flock Audio's PATCH software, while complex multing configurations can be established without the impedance issues associated with conventional passive splitting.

Rear-panel I/O is provided through DB-25 connectors using the Tascam-standard pinout. Two front-panel XLR/TRS combo inputs and two XLR outputs provide convenient temporary connections for microphones, instruments and other equipment. The front inputs can provide 48V phantom power and can be activated from the PATCH software, with front-panel LEDs indicating system connection and phantom-power status.

PATCH provides 32 independently controllable channels of 48V phantom power, allowing compatible microphones and other devices to be connected through the routing system. Internal monitoring also provides diagnostic information on the operation of the hardware.

Multiple Flock Audio PATCH-series units can be integrated to create larger analogue routing systems. Routing between units remains analogue, while control and configuration are handled from the PATCH software.
