Built around traditional passive bass design, the Yamaha BB Limited (BBLTD) pairs an alder body with a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. Both the neck and body were made by Warmoth, with a focus on resonant timber selection and careful construction. The lacquer finish and Yamaha-designed hardware further reflect the model’s vintage-inspired approach.
Unlike the standard BB bridge, this model uses a BB-INX bridge with vintage-style spiral saddles, offering a familiar string feel that should suit players accustomed to Jazz Bass-style instruments. Its acoustic resonance is particularly apparent on the open low E string, delivering a solid low end and punchy attack.
The bass is in excellent condition for its age. There are two small, rice-grain-sized dents to the body, with no other notable scratches. The neck is straight with no twisting, and there is ample truss rod adjustment remaining. Frets show minimal wear, with approximately 80–90% life remaining.
