The Roland JC-77 Jazz Chorus is a compact stereo solid-state guitar amplifier from the late 1980s, bringing the characteristic clean sound and stereo modulation of the larger Jazz Chorus amplifiers into a more manageable 2×10" combo.
Its twin 40-watt power amplifiers drive a pair of 10" speakers, providing true stereo operation for the onboard chorus. The chorus section offers a fixed preset mode as well as a manual mode with independent Rate and Depth controls, allowing anything from the familiar spacious Jazz Chorus effect through to faster vibrato and short-delay-style textures.
The JC-77 also features onboard distortion and reverb, along with a four-band EQ comprising Bass, Middle, Treble and Hi-Treble controls. High and Low instrument inputs accommodate different source levels, while rear-panel stereo line outputs provide connection to recording equipment, mixers or additional amplifiers. Distortion, reverb and chorus can each be controlled remotely via footswitch.
