Crafted in Notting Hill by UK luthier Peter Cook, Ned Callan guitars were produced in small numbers during the 1970s. Early instruments were distributed by Simms-Watts under the Ned Callan name, while later production was associated with Rose Morris's Shaftesbury brand.
This SG-style electric features a mahogany body, single-coil pickups and Van Ghent machine heads. Designed and hand-crafted, or overseen, by Peter Cook, whose custom work included instruments for John Entwistle of The Who.
Relatively light weight, ultra thin neck, bound with rosewood fingerboard
The finish displays attractive checking consistent with its age.
