The Ensoniq ASR-10 is an advanced sampling recorder and sequencer from the early 1990s, combining CD-quality digital sampling with a powerful synthesis architecture and extensive modulation capabilities.
Going beyond conventional sampling, the ASR-10 allows sampled material to be shaped, processed and sequenced using its built-in synthesis engine. It includes 64 Ensoniq effects, which can also be used live with external instruments.
Its combination of sampling, synthesis, sequencing and effects processing made the ASR-10 a widely used production instrument, associated with artists including Autechre, Depeche Mode, Kanye West and Pharrell Williams.
