The Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Big Muff Pi 2 expands the classic dual op-amp Big Muff circuit with an extensive range of tone-shaping controls and performance features. Retaining the signature sustain, aggressive midrange, and saturated fuzz of the original, it adds flexible EQ, noise reduction, expression control, and switchable midrange processing for a far broader range of sounds.

Alongside the familiar Volume, Tone, and Sustain controls, the Blend control allows clean and effected signals to be mixed for improved articulation, while the adjustable noise gate keeps high-gain settings under control. The three-position Wicker switch progressively increases the high-frequency response, offering brighter, more cutting fuzz tones.

A dedicated footswitchable parametric midrange section provides adjustable frequency, level, and resonance (Q), allowing the mids to be boosted or cut for everything from scooped vintage fuzz to focused lead tones. Connecting an expression pedal or CV source to the Expression input enables real-time control of the mid frequency, creating expressive filter sweeps and fuzz wah-style effects.

The bypass footswitch supports both traditional latching operation and momentary activation, making the Deluxe Big Muff Pi 2 equally suited to live performance and studio experimentation.
