The Yamaha AE-11 is an early Japanese-made full hollow archtop electric guitar, hand-built in 1974 using premium tonewoods. Its full-depth body produces a warm, resonant acoustic voice with excellent clarity, making it equally at home unplugged or amplified. With its traditional construction and refined craftsmanship, the AE-11 reflects Yamaha's growing reputation for producing high-quality instruments during the 1970s.
A laminated spruce top is paired with laminated maple back and sides, while the one-piece maple neck and rosewood fingerboard provide a comfortable playing experience. Original pickups have been replaced with P90s. Original truss rod cover has been replaced. Includes rigid gig bag. General cosmetic wear is present consistent with age and use, including a section of the wooden trim above the tailpiece that is missing, but otherwise feels, and looks fantastic.
