The HUM 2 is a multi-timbral synthesizer built for expressive performance, generative composition, and interactive sound design. Featuring three independent voices, it allows separate synthesis engines, melodies, and modulation settings to run simultaneously, making it possible to create evolving textures, layered sequences, and complex performances from a single instrument.

Each voice is played via dedicated touchpads, while six integrated sensors including distance, light, tilt, and touch can be freely assigned to synthesis parameters for highly responsive, gesture-based control. Multiple synthesis engines provide a broad sonic palette, ranging from classic subtractive synthesis and FM to wavetable, organ, and experimental sound generation.

Three independent 64-step sequencers support both fixed and generative sequencing, with notes quantised to one of 17 scales. Extensive modulation is provided by four freely assignable LFOs, while built-in delay, reverb, and overdrive can be independently sent from each voice. Comprehensive CV, MIDI, sync, and USB connectivity make the HUM 2 equally at home in standalone, modular, or computer-based setups.
