Fender PB62-80 Precision Bass with Olympic white finish, Made in Japan, with a JV serial number. The JV era of Fender marks the period where USA production standards were declining, so they singed a deal to produce Fender branded instruments made by luthiers in Japan whose production standards were nothing but excellence.
Alder body and maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, 34" scale, 7.25" radius, vintage C shape. Original Fender USA PB-Vintage split single coil pickups. Pots have been replaced (original included), ashtray set and thumb rest installed by previous owner.
This bass reflects the care and consideration that was put into it, with decently low action and flat wound strings, it plays remarkably well. Neck date 9 Oct 1984, Fujigen Gakki factory.
Includes a Fender hardshell case. Serviced before sale, setup with flatwound strings and ashray covers, thumb rest added. Original pots included but upgraded pots installed. Original pickups.
