Visual Sound Route 66 Mk 3

This newer model of the Route 66 ditches the previous version's unconventional case for a more traditional box, in exchange for more in-depth controlls. The Mk 3 boasts a Clean Mix knob with a bass control knob, and an A-B voicing switch for the drive channel. The compressor side has Comp, Tone and Volume controls again but adds a Clean Mix knob plus a Tone switch (for engaging or bypassing the tone knob) and a Gate switch.

The overdrive side is Tube Screamer-inspired, with gain, tone, and level controls plus a bass boost switch for either added low end or a tighter, mid-focused boost. It covers smooth blues drive through to classic rock crunch.

The compressor ranges from light smoothing to heavier squash. The tone switch allows for either transparent operation or additional shaping. Both sides can be used separately or stacked, delivering huge sustain for a TS-style drive.
