The Synthux Spotykach is an experimental dual stereo looper that blends classic tape workflows, digital sample manipulation, and modern generative processing into a unique performance instrument. Featuring two independent recording decks, it allows audio to be captured, layered, sliced, stretched, and transformed in real time, making it equally suited to live performance, sound design, ambient composition, modular synthesis, and creative experimentation.

Each deck offers three distinct operating modes inspired by different eras of audio technology. Tape mode recreates the fluid behaviour of reel-to-reel recording, Slicer mode chops recordings into playable fragments, while Drift introduces evolving algorithmic transformations that continuously reshape recorded material. The two decks can be blended together using the dedicated crossfader, creating complex evolving performances from a single source or multiple simultaneous recordings.

Designed for deep integration with modular and hardware setups, Spotykach provides extensive CV, gate, clock, MIDI, and modulation connectivity. Two internal modulation sources can function as envelope followers or waveform generators, while touch-sensitive controls encourage hands-on interaction throughout recording and playback.

Built on an open-source platform, Spotykach is equally at home as a finished performance instrument or a platform for creative hacking and firmware development.

Power

Spotykach can be powered directly via USB-C, including compatible USB battery packs capable of supplying at least 1A. A dedicated 15V DC barrel input is also provided, offering an alternative power option where USB power noise may be undesirable.
