Ibanez Prestige' flagship hollowbody model from their Artstar line; the ASF180 features all premium tonewoods - comprising of maple back and sides, African mahogany neck and ivory bound Macassar ebony fingerboard with medium jumbo frets.
The Artstar Presitage ASF180 features a unique hollow body inspired by the legendary Fujigen-built AS Artists series that debuted back in 1979 however reducing the size and placement of the the heavy maple centreblocks and placing a small tone-block just beneath the bridge for sustain and stability (much like early 1970s Gibson 335's), allowing for a lightweight instrument instrument with supreme resonance.
Featuring all Gotoh hardware, Ibanez Super58 (PAF-inspired) humbuckers, Slim Artstar ASF Prestige profile neck (think early 1960s Gibson). Finished in a light coat of 'Piano Black' polyurethane gloss, providing superior finish durability, scratch resistance, and long-term shine without cracking or yellowing over time.
