One of the most iconic clean amplifiers ever built, the 1969 Fender Twin Reverb delivers massive headroom, sparkling highs, rich spring reverb, and the unmistakable punch that defined countless recordings throughout the late '60s and beyond. Produced during Fender's early Silverface era, 1969 models retain much of the character of the sought-after Blackface designs while offering the rugged reliability and stage-filling volume that made the Twin Reverb a professional standard. Early examples from this period often feature the aluminium "drip edge" trim around the grille cloth, making them especially desirable among collectors and players alike.
With dual 12" speakers, four 6L6 power tubes, onboard spring reverb, and optical tremolo, the Twin Reverb excels as a pristine clean platform for pedals while remaining capable of huge, authoritative tones on its own. From country and surf to blues, jazz, and rock, few amplifiers match its combination of clarity, dynamics, and sheer volume.
117 Volt model. Includes step-down transformer for use in Australia. Foot switch and amp cover also included.
Serviced in 2019 by Open Ear Audio – tubes replaced (matched quad of Svetlana 6L6s + preamp valves), bias set, controls and sockets cleaned, reverb + footswitch sorted, general tidy-up.
Speakers replaced with WGS G12C/S speakers.
Black Panel installed however original Silverface circuit.
