The Music Man 112RD Fifty Reissue recreates one of the most distinctive amplifier designs of the late 1970s and early 1980s, combining powerful clean headroom, tube-driven limiter distortion, and classic spring reverb in a compact and remarkably lightweight combo format.

Built around a hybrid architecture featuring a 6L6-powered output stage and tube-driven limiter section, the 112RD Fifty delivers the punch, clarity, and dynamic response that made the original Music Man amplifiers favourites among players seeking high-volume clean tones alongside smooth, controllable overdrive.

The amplifier features two independent preamp stages, allowing instant switching between pristine cleans and the dedicated limiter/distortion circuit.

Clean Stage

The Clean Stage is designed to provide maximum clarity, headroom, and dynamic response.

Controls include: - Volume - Treble - Bass - Normal/Bright switch

The Bright switch adds additional high-frequency presence, making it easy to tailor the amplifier to different guitars, pickups, and playing styles.

Limiter / Distortion Stage

The Limiter Stage incorporates a dedicated tube gain circuit that can range from lightly compressed edge-of-breakup sounds through to rich, sustained overdrive.

Controls include: - Volume - Gain - Treble - Bass

Unlike many traditional gain controls, the Gain and Volume controls operate largely independently, allowing distortion levels and output volume to be adjusted separately.

Lower gain settings provide cleaner, more dynamic sounds, while increased gain drives the tube limiter stage into progressively more saturated territory.

Spring Reverb

A built-in spring reverb provides classic spacious ambience with a dedicated level control.

Lightweight Performance Design

The 112RD Fifty Reissue features a custom neodymium speaker developed by Marco De Virgiliis and DV Mark.

The design goal was to retain the response and feel of a traditional guitar speaker while significantly reducing overall weight, making the amplifier considerably easier to transport than many comparable valve combos.

Footswitch Control
