A dark, dry set of hats with a crisp chick and tight stick response. The lightweight top and heavier bottom keep the wash under control while still delivering plenty of texture and body. Hand hammered in Turkey from B20 bronze, they’ve got that raw, earthy Byzance character with clear articulation that sits nicely in a mix without overpowering it. Soft and mellow at lower dynamics, but capable of opening up into a more explosive sound when pushed.
