This X-Series Martin, inspired by the DX1KAE, is an affordable yet beautiful instrument, a big jangly 12-string dreadnought that's made to be played, pairing a satin spruce top with Brazilian rosewood-pattern HPL back and sides. Plenty of shimmer and body. The slimmer neck, softer fingerboard edge and built-in Martin E-1 pickup system make it a pretty easy one to live with, whether it's on the couch, at rehearsal or plugged in.
