The Buchla Ziggy is a modern reimagining of the classic Buchla complex oscillator, designed as a self-contained, performance-ready instrument.

Instead of the traditional patch-heavy modular workflow, Ziggy offers a streamlined, gesture-based approach to synthesis. Modulation is assigned quickly using button combinations and sliders, making it fast to explore, intuitive to play, and deep when you want it to be. It's very much an instrument-first design - something you interact with directly, rather than program from a distance.

At its core, Ziggy pairs a fully analogue sound engine with digital control. The oscillators and low pass gate remain purely analogue, delivering rich, organic Buchla tone, while digital control enables preset recall, flexible modulation routing, and a far more immediate workflow than vintage systems.

Sonically, Ziggy goes well beyond experimental textures. While it excels at evolving, unpredictable sounds, it's equally capable of tight percussion, expressive leads, deep basses, and harmonically rich tones. Built-in scale quantisation and alternate tunings make it easy to stay musical when needed.

Compact, portable, and thoughtfully designed, Ziggy fits neatly into modern studio or live setups, with extensive MIDI, CV, and USB connectivity.
