The Rebis Rack system was a British modular outboard format designed to bring professional studio processing within reach of smaller studios and serious home users. Rather than packaging each processor in its own case and power supply, Rebis used a shared 19-inch rack capable of housing up to fourteen modules plus a central power supply, reducing cost and wasted space while allowing flexible studio configurations.
Modules could be hardwired, patched via phono or jack connections, or custom normalised for dedicated signal chains. Built around a robust Vero card frame system with screened modules and gold-plated edge connectors, the design focused on low noise, reliability and expandability.
Available modules covered a broad range of studio tasks including de-essing, parametric EQ, noise gating, compression/limiting and analogue delay-based modulation effects. The delay system was particularly versatile, combining delay, modulation and mixer modules to create chorus, flanging, vibrato and stereo effects with surprisingly low noise and wide bandwidth for an analogue design.
Originally developed by a small British engineering team that began by building a mixing desk for Mike Oldfield, Rebis grew into an internationally exported studio equipment manufacturer known for practical design, good support and strong value for money.
Mostly functional, we have tested this unit to the best of our ability however the Send & Return module seems to be non-functional, few scratchy pots & Headphone OUT has gain issue producing distortion.
This bundle contains 6 x RA212's, 1 x RA206 as well as quite a few blank panels that have been modified for multiple functions.
Sold as is.
