Mozztronics designed this pedal with one goal in mind: maximum aggression for heavy, drop-tuned guitar tones. The circuit combines multiple gain stages, including JFET, CMOS analogue stages, and a linear-run CMOS digital section, paired with a germanium noise gate and an amp-style three-band EQ. A built-in mid scoop delivers classic Nordic-style metal tones, with an internal link allowing the scoop to be reduced or bypassed if desired.
Controls include FECK for distortion amount, BASS, MID and TREBLE voiced at 30 Hz, 300 Hz and 3 kHz respectively, and VOL for overall output. The EQ behaves like a traditional amp tone stack, designed to be set high and reduced to taste.
