A proper future guitar from the era when people thought the future was actually going to happen.
Originally introduced in 1987, GL4T took everything traditional guitar design was built around and threw most of it in the bin: no headstock, carbon graphite construction, tiny footprint, absurd tuning stability, and the TransTrem system that still feels slightly impossible even now.
This 1991 example has the full neck-thru graphite build with EMG SA/SA/89 pickups, phenolic fretboard and original TransTrem bridge. Bright, immediate attack with a really even response across the neck, plus all the strange pitch-shifting and chordal movement the TransTrem can do.
