Phase8 is an eight-voice acoustic synthesizer that blends physically resonating sound sources with detailed electronic control. Built around KORG’s Acoustic Synthesis technology, it generates sound using real vibrating steel resonators, shaped with envelopes, sequencing, analogue wavefolding, and pitch-dependent modulation for a deeply organic and responsive feel.
Eight of the included 13 chromatically tuned, swappable resonators can be installed at once, allowing everything from sharp percussive hits to sustained tonal textures. A polymetric sequencer supports step programming and free live recording, with per-voice step skipping and memory storage. External control is available via MIDI, USB-MIDI, and CV, enabling phase8 to both control and be controlled by other instruments.
