Built around the classic Tone Bender MK1.5 circuit, The Analog Man Sun Bender MK1.5 stays true to the original design but refines a few component values for improved stability and response. The bias resistor is brought out to a central BIAS control, letting you shape the character of the fuzz. Turning the bias up adds brightness and presence, helping the sound cut through a mix, while lower settings deliver a thicker, rounder and more subdued voice. Inside the enclosure, a white MASTER BIAS trimpot sets the midpoint of the BIAS control. This is factory set to 5V and rarely needs adjustment, though it can be useful for fine-tuning if temperature changes affect the bias point.
