Vintage 1966 Fender Electric XII in sunburst featuring a lightweight alder body, finished in nitro 'Target Burst', only seen from 1965-1967. Classic '60s D-shape maple neck, bound and blocked Indian rosewood fingerboard with a rather wide nut width to accommodate the extra 6 strings.
Split coil single coil pickups with 4-way switch, master volume & tone, F-style tuners, three-dimensional celluloid pickguard & iconic 'Hockey Stick' headstock really are just the cherries on their respective proverbial cakes.
Assembled in 1966 at the Fullteron plant in California, USA.
Includes an original Fender XII red-lined case with 'Tail' logo.
This case may be original with a later logo plaque installed, however it is unlikely.
Nut replacement at some point long ago, & non-orignal string tree. One fret is lifting up ever so slightly. The original left hand side tuners have been replaced however original 1960s F-style tuners have been installed over holes from previous ones.
One pot has been replaced.
