Caroline Kilobyte 2000 Lo-Fi Digital Delay Pedal

KILOBYTE-2000 represents the most advanced evolution of the company's flagship lo-fi delay, building on the foundation laid by the original Kilobyte in 2013. At a time when many delay pedals were focused on pristine digital repeats, vintage recreations, or disguising the PT-2399 chip as an analog delay, the Kilobyte carved its own path by embracing the chip's quirks, limitations, and character. The KB-2000 takes that philosophy even further, fully exploiting the compromised bandwidth and frequency response that gave the original its unmistakable voice.

At the heart of the KILOBYTE-2000 is the upgraded "invader" repeater preamp, capable of driving the repeats up to five times harder than the original design while leaving the dry signal unaffected and clean when dialed back. A new "sharpness" control provides detailed adjustment over both the gain structure and tonal voicing of the preamp.

Modern performance features include tap tempo, trails bypass, and a lush but restrained modulation circuit that adds movement without overwhelming the repeats. Caroline's signature "Havoc" runaway hold function also returns, allowing for controlled self-oscillation and chaos, now enhanced with a dedicated control to adjust the intensity of the runaway effect.

A dedicated effects loop now allows users to put other effects just on the KB2K repeats, or to get a 100% wet output for different uses.
