The Behringer WAVES is a flexible and powerful function generator, designed with a clear tip-of-the-hat to the widely respected Mutable Instruments Tides module. Whether you’re after complex modulation sources, envelope shaping, or audio-rate waveform generation, Waves brings a wide feature set to your Eurorack system at a highly accessible price.

It offers three main generator modes, AD and AR envelope shapes, and a looping voltage-controlled LFO/VCDO. You can switch between four output modes, giving you precise control over amplitude, time, frequency, and waveform shape. The Shape parameter allows for smooth blending between linear, exponential, and sinusoidal segments, offering nuanced control over modulation curves.

Waves also includes a phase-locked loop (PLL) for syncing to external clock sources, enabling harmonic or subharmonic relationships with other oscillators. With high-resolution 16-bit CV control, it delivers detailed and accurate modulation that integrates easily with the rest of your system.
