Schlappi Engineering BTFLD - Silver

The Schlappi BTFLD (Bit Fold) functions as a distortion unit, wavefolder, and a 4-bit asynchronous ADAC. Its folding output at audio rates delivers a hard-sync-like timbre through a unique sawtooth wavefolding circuit.

The stepped output creates a bit-crushed effect, while the square wave outputs offer various frequency multiplications or distortions. You can also generate rhythms by feeding envelopes or LFOs into the input, using the bit outputs as gates. It integrates seamlessly with Schlappi’s four-bit binary system (Nibbler, BTMX), enabling experimental four-bit computing and creative logic-based patching.
