EMS Synthi AKS portable modular analogue synthesiser made by EMS of England. Most notable for its patch pin matrix, its functions and internal design are similar to the VCS 3 synthesiser.
Fully serviced by Les Craythorne. Modified with two extra inputs located on the underside of the case. The top jack is a 1V trigger input to the EnvelopeĀ Shaper. The higher I/P is a Gate-In, direct to the two transistors, while theĀ output sends to trigger the Envelope Shaper. In good workingĀ condition, the potentiometers all feel smooth (likeĀ new) after the clean andĀ lube.
