Proteo is a stereo additive digital oscillator with a twist, it allows you to record snippets of sound and then make them the waveshape of the oscillator, with the ability to morph from a sine to the incoming waveform, all in real time!

By default, Proteo emits two sine waves at its outputs. The left section is composed by two independent time based acquiring paths.
Each one has its own preamp, which can attenutate or double the amplitude of the input signal. A sort of digital tape recorder acquires in real time the incoming voltages, drawing distinct waveform for each side.
Acquisition time is the speed of the recorder, slowing it down will capture more portion of the incoming signal with more harmonics has a result.
Increasing the speed allows to capture up to low-audio rate signals or to create some strange “out of sync” sounds. Acquired waveforms can also locked independently with the two freeze buttons. Morph, controls the interpolation between the sine waves and the acquired waveforms. The two oscillators are tied togheter to the same voct and pitch, which can be changed with the freq knob. Span, controls the distances between the left and right parts by detuning the right one from 1 octave below to 1 one octave higher. Proteo has a variable sample rate core that runs till 0.5mhZ: it doesn't suffer classical digital problem like aliasing and it has an almost infinite bandwidth for harmonics.
