Mozztronics MD-1 Mew Drive

The Mozztronics MEW DRIVE is built on a classic Mu Amp (SRPP) topology—an old-school valve circuit reimagined for pedalboards using JFETs in place of tubes. Multiple Mu Amp stages are stacked for maximum gain, delivering a warm, harmonically rich overdrive that stays true to its vintage roots. While others have explored this design, Mozztronics adds their own tweaks for a distinct voice. The PURR control sets the gain from the first stage, feeding into a traditional BASS, MID and TREBLE tone stack, with a master VOLUME at the end. Named in honour of the workshop’s three-legged rescue cat (and because Mu sounds like “mew”), the MEW DRIVE is as characterful as it is capable..
