For those who want to bridge the gap between eurorack and guitar, Maneco have brought Mutable Instruments' Clouds to your pedalboard! The Small Nimbus creates swirly whirly soundscapes and textures by combining overlapping, delayed, enveloped and transposed segments of sound. The unit has the ability to capture incoming audio and store it in a limited sample memory. The recorded audio data is then utilised by the module to create a sonic texture, achieved by playing back small, overlapping audio segments known as "grains" extracted from the recording.
