1010 Music Nanobox Lemondrop Polyphonic Granular Mini Synth

The 1010music nanobox lemondrop is a compact four-voice polyphonic granular synthesizer built around dual granulators and an additional oscillator. Its granular engine can transform samples into sustained textures, evolving pads, rhythmic fragments and heavily processed sounds, with extensive modulation and real-time control available from the integrated touchscreen.

Two granulators can operate alongside the oscillator, with sound shaping provided by two filters, two envelopes, two LFOs and a modulation sequencer. The 2-inch touchscreen provides direct parameter editing as well as an X/Y performance surface for morphing and manipulating sounds in real time.

The lemondrop includes six effects divided between two effect slots, with flanger, distortion, chorus and phaser available in the first slot and delay or reverb in the second. Factory presets and WAV files are provided, while user samples can be loaded from microSD for creating custom granular patches.

Despite its small footprint, the lemondrop provides MIDI In and Out, clock input, stereo line input and output, allowing it to function as either a self-contained instrument or as part of a larger hardware setup. USB-C power and its palm-sized enclosure also make it well suited to portable setups.
