The H.S. Anderson Mad Cat V3 Left-Handed brings one of the most sought-after guitar designs ever produced to players who have historically had very few opportunities to experience it. Handmade in Japan, this purpose-built left-handed model incorporates the same painstaking attention to detail as the standard V3 reissue while delivering the distinctive feel, appearance, and character that made the original Mad Cat legendary.

Developed over a four-year period with input from Takumi Suetsugu, Prince's long-time guitar technician and current custodian of the original instrument, the V3 generation focuses on recreating the finer details that separate a good reissue from an exceptional one. The most significant refinement is a revised neck profile based on original 1976 H.S. Anderson instruments from the same production era as Prince's famous guitar, resulting in a slimmer, more traditional C-shaped carve.

Every left-handed V3 is built in Japan using the same walnut, ash, and maple body construction as the original instruments, paired with custom Heartbreaker pickups, vintage-correct pickup positioning, and the distinctive leopard-print appointments that have become synonymous with the Mad Cat name.

Unlike many left-handed instruments that are produced as simplified variants, the Mad Cat V3 Left-Handed receives the same level of detail and craftsmanship as its right-handed counterpart, including an individual pickup measurement report supplied with every guitar.

The result is a faithful recreation of one of the most recognisable guitars ever made, finally available for left-handed players.
