Orange AD30HTC Twin Channel Head

The Orange AD30HTC is a British-made 30-watt all-valve guitar amplifier head built around a pair of independent channels, classic EL84 power and valve rectification. Designed with a distinctly vintage approach, it delivers everything from open, responsive cleans through to rich power amp overdrive and classic Orange crunch.

Rather than simply duplicating the same preamp, the AD'30s two channels use separate signal paths with subtly different voicings. Channel One offers the cleaner and more open response, while Channel Two is voiced for more drive, making it easy to move between dynamic rhythm sounds and saturated lead tones. Each channel has its own Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble and Master controls, allowing both sides of the amplifier to be set independently.

At the power stage, four EL84 valves produce 30 watts, with a GZ34 valve rectifier contributing natural compression and sag as the amp is pushed. The result is a lively, touch-sensitive response that works particularly well when controlling gain from the guitar or using pedals to push the front end.

Custom British-made transformers built to Orange specifications complete the traditional all-valve design.
