The Delptronics Thunderclap is an analogue hand clap stompbox inspired by the iconic sounds of classic drum machines, pushing far beyond simple clap tones. Built around a noise-based circuit, it can be shaped into everything from tight finger snaps and snare-like hits to noisy cymbals and explosive, crashing textures.
Four controls for noise level, filter, decay and volume offer a wide range of tweakability, with classic clap sounds sitting around mid settings and more extreme, chaotic sounds available as you push things further. It can be triggered via the footswitch or externally from a synth, sequencer or drum machine, making it easy to integrate into both pedalboards and modular setups.
A built-in mini sequencer allows you to record and loop trigger patterns, adding rhythmic variation and movement. Housed in a rugged aluminium enclosure, it’s a playful, hands-on percussion tool for both studio and live use.
