It pairs a Class A tube microphone preamp with wide, musical gain, a passive Pultec-style equaliser built around Retro’s 2A3 circuitry, and a smooth British-voiced tube compressor inspired by EMI-era broadcast and recording designs. The result is rich saturation, weighty lows, and polished dynamics that suit vocals, drums, guitars, and full sources alike. A switchable preamp voicing adds an alternate tonal colour, making the unit equally at home tracking in the studio or shaping signals on stage.
