The Spring Waves ZDSP (Z-DSP) card contains six Karplus-Strong and two spring models. When fed with an external pulse or bursts of noise they self-oscillate, creating synthetic sounds similar to glass, springs, bells, and a variety of string tones. When structured sounds like high pitched FM tones, drones, drum sounds, and vocals pass through they get a harmonized-type effect, frequently with unexpected results.
The Halls of Valhalla is a reverb cartridge for the Tiptop Audio Z-DSP. It contains 8 original reverb algorithms, custom designed for the ZDSP and the Eurorack environment. Voltage control over reverb decay, tone, and modulation allows the user to create reverbs ranging from small rooms to large halls to near-infinite decays.
The Dragonfly Delay MKII is composed of eight voltage controllable effect algorithms for the Z-DSP module. The MkII version offers some additional features. The Dragonfly Delays deliver very atmospheric sound with a wide stereo image. Grainy LoFi results can be achieved by feeding an external clock signal to the Z-DSP.
The BitROT ZDSP card contains a collection of 8 waveform-combination and bit-manipulation effects for the Tiptop Audio Z-DSP module. Written by Segoh, the effects cover everything from ring modulation to distortion, with special attention being paid to each effect having consistent control parameters allowing for usage of the Z-DSP’s sequential program control in a more musical way.
