The Roland BK-5 is a self-contained arranger keyboard designed for solo performers and hobbyists who want a full backing band in a single instrument. It’s powered by Roland’s sound engine with over 1,100 sounds, dozens of drum kits, and 128-note polyphony, and supports GM2, GS, and XG Lite formats. The BK-5 can play and manipulate Standard MIDI Files as well as MP3 and WAV audio from USB, with controls for tempo, key and centre cancel for karaoke-style use. Performances can also be recorded directly to USB as audio files. A composite video output lets you display lyrics and chord symbols on an external screen, while onboard effects, auto-accompaniment, and wide rhythm support make it a flexible all-in-one performance keyboard.
