This is a faithful reproduction of the original TB-303 circuit, using matching PCBs and period-correct components, with only a few practical updates. The original BA662 OTA used in the amplifier stage is replaced by a modern clone with no meaningful change in sound, and an internal trimmer allows the characteristic envelope click to be reduced or left intact.
The original microcontroller firmware has been fully reverse engineered, making room for modern functionality without altering the core behaviour. This version adds full MIDI I/O, live pattern recording from the built-in keyboard or MIDI, real-time control over accent, slide and transpose, a random pattern generator with scale options, chaselight sequencing, continuous access to all functions during playback, and reliable pattern storage.
