qTone is a module that precisely transforms any kind of voltages into musical notes. Take the LFO, a Random source, or the Sequencer outputs, send them through the quantiser to your oscillator or synth voice, and get perfectly tuned melodies.
It has a bank of 16 user-defined scales that you can easily edit, and automatically save into memory. qTone saves every change into EEPROM so you can be sure to get back to the last state after power on.
Both channels can work independently with their own scale each, or with a common scale as well. Aside from the Scale, it is possible to set Glide, Offset, and Transpose parameters. The Glide parameter performs a smooth portamento between quantised notes. Offset shifts an input CV up or down, which works as an offset before quantising, while the Transpose parameter shifts a scale after quantising by semitones.
qTone also has an Arpeggio mode, which allows you to generate arpeggios from incoming triggers within a selected scale.
The 2 CV inputs are freely routable to any parameter in the CV menu. qTone works with unipolar or bipolar signals, in the range from -5 to +5 volts.
