After Later's first ladder filter, and it's in stereo. You get HP, BP. LP2, and LP4 outputs for each side. See below on the HP and BP outputs as they are a bit temperamental.
Along with all of the great traditional sounds of a ladder filter, a bias knob has been added, which starves ladder transistors of bias current. This can create some fun detuning, glitchy, and warbly sounds. It sounds best with the resonance turned up a bit. Turning the bias will mess with the cutoff frequency and resonance settings so it takes some knob tweaking to master it. There is decent volt/octave tracking for about 3 octaves.
High pass and band pass options extend beyond most typical ladder filters. Low resonance settings provide typical HP and BP behavior, while pushing the resonance and input level unlock unusual behaviour. Due to its multiple outputs, you can even patch these filter channels in series when stereo processing is unneeded in your patch. Delivering a solid ladder filter implementation with generous potential for breaking out into new territories.
Features
- Stereo multimode ladder filter with bias starve control
- High pass, band pass, 2-pole low pass, and 4-pole low pass outputs on each channel
- Bias starve control and CV input creates unstable detuning and glitches in filter behaviour
- Global controls for cutoff and resonance with CV input
- Independent channel CV inputs for cutoff frequency
- Manual level control affects filter response as signal changes amplitude
- High pass and Band pass filters feature atypical behaviour with high resonance and level settings
