1962-63 Burns Black Bison. By this era the Bisons shifted to a bolt on neck and three pickup layout, pairing Burns’ low impedance pickups with a famously elaborate floating cradle vibrato system. It can cover clear, hi fi cleanliness and thinner out of phase sounds that later became known as the Wild Dog setting on subsequent Burns models. Features 3 Ultra Sonic pickups with engraved pickup selector switch positions, Mahogany body and neck, and ebony fingerboard.
Made in England.
String tree was added at some stage, now removed. Tuning pegs, strap buttons, bridge saddles, bridge cover fixings, and 2nd tone dial not original. Some cracks in pickup cover, and pickguard. Vibrato arm previously snapped at base, now shorter. Includes case. Weighs: 4.75kg
